Lesley has a Honours degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and has worked as a dietitian in England and Scotland; in hospitals and community & health information services (Healthy Living Line). She is a member of the British Dietetic Association and a registered member of the Healthcare Professions Council.

Lesley has developed a broad spectrum of knowledge in diet and nutrition over the years through her vast experience whilst working in the NHS and Freelance dietetics.
